Belong?

Belong, finding a place where you fit in. You feel like you belong when you are loved by others and things around you are just better and smoother. because belonging is the last puzzle piece to the puzzle. To belong you have to be in a place where yourself and others love you and where you love to be. That is belonging.

Anticipation statements

statement 2. A true friend will tell you the truth, even when you don’t want to hear it. ( I rated statement 2. with a nine)

A true friend will always tell you the truth because it will come out to have a better friendship and bond. you may not want to hear it but at least it’s the truth. and the truth won’t lie to you.

book blog post

I think this plot has lots of mystery built into it. This is shown in scenes where Percy is told by everyone else that her teacher does not exist. this teacher was one of her favorite teachers making this a big moment for Percy. Does this mean Percy was dreaming about this great friend she called a teacher. There are many things so far in the book that could lead you to think that she is dreaming. This may be the author telling the readers that dreams can feel so real but still be fake. This part of the book could confuse the readers by wondering if it is even real.

In the next parts of the book, the readers may find out if she dreaming or what’s really happening. The author could also keep building up the mystery. There are times in my life when I’m dreaming and it’s awesome then I wake up. that makes me and possibly any other readers who can relate to this book. I like the mystery and how he shows that to the readers through dreaming how the readers can connect to the book.

Big Idea book final

My theme is fate and I’m reading the book “The Lightning Thief by Percy Jackson”. There Fate found she finds out that she’s the only one who can see her teacher everyone else tells her that Mrs. Dodds does not exist. She gets very confused this connects with fate because this teacher was very friendly so when she finds out that she does not exist anymore. now she is in fate without that one and only teacher that she always talks to.

Similarities and differences between zits from flight and teens today

TIQA paragraphs

similarities Emotions

Title of the Article

“Teens react differently to trauma. There are many ways they experience sorrowful reactions to a traumatic event”

Teens today with depression have gone through some type of trauma. They are teens with low confidence and believe that they are ugly and dumb. this is very similar to zits because Zits talks about the zits all over his body calling himself zits. This he’s likey from the past trauma that he’s gone through. Zits wants attention but he and teens today may feel embarrassed if they’re seen in this shape.

Difference Emotions

mental health foundation /

teens today are also going through the same thing zits is. 50% of mental health problems are established by age 14 and 75% by age 24. Zits Is definitely in this range and this shows that zits and teens today have this similarity.

Similarities relationship/family

“Self-confidence is the belief that you’ll be successful in a particular situation or at a specific task”

Teens today who don’t get the help they need like zits may end up like him. Getting into fights and stealing and even going to go shoot up a bank. because they did not get the help they needed they went out to look for it elsewhere.

Difference relationship/family

self-confidence and teenagers

There are some differences between Zits and teens today most teens today are given positive self-confidence by others Zits is not given that. Most teens today have access to school counseling services. He has no adult mentors or parents he can trust.

Similarities Violence

“I wonder what would happen if I killed ten to twenty or thirty people”

teens today can have lots of violence if they don’t get help. this could be just like zits where it helps them cope or even just feel like they’re in charge. Zits would get into fights and drink and more fights just like some teens do today. Most students who get into fights are males who struggle.

difference Violence

The one thing that teens today and Zits have in common is that teens today and Zits may not repeat what they do like Zits did. the average teen who goes to violence will get help. Zits never did. And most teens today don’t shoot up banks usually. that was all just in the book.

What does this chapter say about fathers?

1 This chapter talks about fathers in the sense that they will be the same kind of fathers their fathers were to them when they were growing up. This is why some new fathers are nervous and scared. And this causes fathers to do what they have seen from their fathers

2 Zit’s father has this memory mainly because it was a big point in his childhood and he’s really good at remembering it. It could have happened more than once. this will affect his decision in the end because zits father may feel like Zits may not want to see him just like other fathers out there.

3 Zit’s father leaving him will always impact Zits because Zits will not know how to be a father if he ever is one. Zits will also be affected because this may answer all the questions about the fight and all that crazy stuff. Zits may never know what it is like to have trust because he does not have a father like other teens may

why would people challenge a book?

I have been introduced to many different books and I don’t think I would challenge any of them but I do see how others challenge them. People may challenge books because they are not true facts in them like non-fiction books. but if they are fiction people may want to challenge them because they are too violent, racist, or something else that may affect others. In the book flight, I could see people challenging this book but mainly an age restriction flight is very violet and strong with language as it talks straight from the heart. Zits the main character in the book flight it who is controversial person because people may not agree with some of his violent actions and language because it is very strong. yes, they are filled with controversy because it could be a yes anyone should be allowed to read this book and others may say that nobody under this blank age can read it. I think that the book flight should at most have an age restrican because of the strong language.

themes chapters nine – twelve

weakness

9: “I remember I played with those trains for hours and hours. Played until I could barely keep my eyes open then my father took me into another dark room in the basement, one without trains, and did evil things to me. things that hurt. things that made me bleed”.

10: “I deserve whatever punishment comes my way. But no punishment will be big enough. My punishment will not bring back the dead”.

12: “I hear screaming. I realize it is me screaming. I hear weeping. I realize it is me weeping. I close my eyes”.

All of these quotes indicate zits and weaknesses. zits has weaknesses. he’s always let his emotions affect him. In all of these quotes, he tells the readers that he is broken and hopeless and feels like giving up but without actually saying those words. examples would tell us things like then my father brought me into another dark room one without trains and did evil things to me things that made bleed this links with where Zits says no punishment will be big enough. this is sign of zits being hopeless and also a sign of weakness.
